Issam Srour is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the American University of Beirut, where he also serves as the founding director of the Abdulla Al Ghurair Hub for Digital Teaching and Learning. The hub offers a wide variety of online and hybrid programmes in project management, artificial intelligence (AI), data science and entrepreneurship, among other topics. Dr Srour’s research focuses on the use of quantitative techniques and sustainability principles to solve real-world engineering and construction management problems. He is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Lebanese Order of Engineers and Architects. He earned a master’s degree and a PhD in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the American University of Beirut.
